Description:

Led by Joy Bell. This is a loop walk from Bundeena to Marley Beach via Jibbon Head, with great ocean views, a few beaches, spectacular sandstone colours and shapes, rock shelves and some Aboriginal rock carvings. You start at Bundeena wharf and follow the shore line to Jibbon beach. Here you can view Aboriginal rock carvings before walking along the sandstone coast to The Balconies. You need to have a reasonable level of fitness and be comfortable climbing over sandstone boulders. There are a few steep steps down to The Waterrun and a bit of a climb out of the gully where the route joins the bush track winding through high heath. Some of this track is on raised board. You pass the White (Wedding) Cake Rock, before arriving at Marley Beach. You then head back along the Big Marley fire trail track and through some scrub before arriving back at Jibbon Beach  Map: Royal National Park
