Walk outline – Cowan-Jerusalem Bay-Porto Ridge-Peak Hill-Dead Horse Bay-Brooklyn.
This is a scenic walk with superb views from Porto Ridge & Peak Hill. It starts on the GNW down from Cowan to the beautiful Jerusalem Bay. After climbing up out of Jerusalem Bay the walk takes a `rough pad’ off-track route along Porto Ridge to Peak Hill. After enjoying the views from Peak Hill you retrace your steps to the ridge following another `rough pad’ off-track route to rejoin the GNW to Brooklyn. From there, there is the option to drop down to Dead Horse Bay and have a refreshing paddle or swim, before heading around the point to Brooklyn.
Overall there are two steep ascents – 190 metres & 140 metres and several steep short scrambly ascents.
