Eastwood to Hornsby: Starting out from Eastwood Station, the walk follows the Terrys Creek Track to Browns Waterhole before ascending to Thornleigh via Conscript Pass with the option to leave the walk at Thornleigh. From Thornleigh you descend via the Great North Walk to the upper reaches of Berowra Creek before the final ascent to Hornsby via Old Mans Steps. This route bypasses the Berowra Creek crossing near Fishponds, which can be slippery and difficult after heavy rain, Some residential street walking however mostly along bush tracks. Public transport at both ends. Map: Hornsby & Parramatta River 1:25,000
