This walk starts from Gordon Station, so there is about 2.5km through the streets before heading onto the Bungaroo track and following Middle Harbour Creek to the Cascades. From there you follow the Bare Creek track and Heath track to Belrose. You could exit the walk here (about halfway) or complete a short section of street walking and enter the Garigal National Park to follow Deep Creek out to Narrabeen Lagoon, where you can catch a bus for your return trip. You may be surprised at the extent of attractive bush, with scenic lookouts, all within urban surroundings. Map: Parramatta, Hornsby, Mona Vale
