Track continues along the coast over Handing swamp (pathway can be flooded). Take a side trip up towards the command centre and see the magnificent grass trees. Return to the track and follow the memorial pathway to North Fort (refreshments and toilets available). Follow the metal pathway past the Third Quarantine Cemetery, two harbour lookouts and the Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub. Detour to the Quarantine Station (1 hour tours can be pre booked). Take the track beside the Quarantine Station Wall from North Head Scenic Drive to Collins Flat Road. Return to Manly via Collins Flat Beach and Little Manly Point. Lots of short ups and downs, some footpaths, rough tracks, metal walkway over wet areas, lookouts and wildflowers, historical buildings and infrastructure.
