Description:
Excellent walk in Brisbane Waters National Park. A great variety of scenery, a swing bridge & even a rather cranky crayfish half way up the hill well away from the creek!
Water was the key element of the day. A couple of showers forecast by BOM were shrugged off. By the time we got to Girrakool it was well & truly living up to it’s Indigenous name, ‘place of waters’. We sheltered in a covered BBQ area from the torrential rain & hungry magpies. When we reached the creek which we intended crossing the stepping stones were well submerged and water rising. We had planned to finish the walk at Kariong but exited the walk early for safety reasons.
